The remodel of this master bath was prompted by a desire for improved functionality and up-dated finishes. To better meet the needs of the homeowner, the bath tub was removed, and the shower was expanded. A spa experience was created utilizing multiple body sprays, and shower heads including hand-held, wall, and over-head applications as well as separate controls for water temperature and delivery.
The result achieved the ability to accommodate individual preferences with a wide range of options from an invigorating spray to a soothing massage. Great attention to detail was also considered in the selection of finishes. Textured porcelain floor tile was utilized to provide depth and dimension while soft stria tile was applied to the walls to amplify light and space. Custom-built alder cabinetry, rich in grain and color, was added to furnish luxury and warmth, and was contrasted by sleek hand-crafted mirrors with contemporary stainless steel frames. Luminous glass tiles in a fresh hexagon shape were placed vertically as a focal point in the spa shower, and also enlisted to highlight the vanities.
