The first metal to be worked by humans, Copper has been in use for one thing or another for over 10,000 years. It is naturally occurring, and seeing as CeTerra is Latin for “of the earth”, Copper is something we love to work with! We work with a local Copper artisan responsible for crafting our Copper Mirrors, Copper Tables and Copper picture frames. We’ve also gathered some beautiful pieces from other artists around the country who utilize Copper in at least some part of their work.
Copper As Furniture
One of the first things you may notice upon walking into our showroom, is our Copper topped front desk! This is yet another example of a piece done by our local artisan. In addition to our desk, we currently have some gorgeous Copper coffee tables as well as a console table; all with varying levels of patina. Our Copper Mirrors are very popular and so beautiful! Also made in different sizes, these can easily work above a vanity, in an entry hall, above a fireplace–the options are endless!
Copper As Accessories
Another really fun item we’ve recently brought to the showroom is our Copper Picture Frame. Done by the same local artisan, each of our frames are one of a kind and all vary greatly in color and patina! We also have copper-colored vases, pots and other decor that work well across several different design styles.
Copper As Artwork
In the last ten years, we’ve been fortunate to find some really incredible and one of a kind art pieces that incorporate copper. Take our Raku bowl for example, it is not entirely made of copper but is instead lined with beautiful copper sheeting on the inside. The effect of this sheeting has left some clients wondering if the bowl is literally “glowing” from the inside! Our wonderful and unique Kachina statues have copper wire “necklaces” and bands at their waists. We’ve also had mixed metal art that features copper as one of its many elements!
