Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors is truly changing lives for our injured service men and women by building and remodeling handicap accessible homes to suit their individual needs. CeTerra Accents & Interiors partnered with Homes for Wounded Warriors to provide an inviting and, most importantly, a functional environment for U.S Army Sgt. John Ricketts, who was injured in May of 2010 while serving as a gunner for the 101st Airborne Division in Afghanistan. As a result of his life altering injury due to an IED, Sgt. Ricketts was in need of a space that was wheelchair accessible and contained non-slip surfaces so he could move freely throughout his home without restriction. In addition to accessibility, it was important to us that he had a welcoming environment that reflected his tastes and the feeling of being “home.”
It was an honor for us to partner with this great organization and Sgt. Ricketts who sacrificed so much for our country’s freedom. To learn more about this project and the organization, visit their website homesforwoundedwarriors.com.
