Of the many things CeTerra Accents and Interiors is known for, incredibly realistic plants and succulent plants is definitely top of the list! What’s more is the incredibly unique ways we have found to create a succulent display. If you are looking for a way to bring a subtle touch of greenery into your home or perhaps wanting to bring the desert environment indoors, succulent displays are a wonderful way to do it. Here are 10 beautiful and super fun ways to bring this idea to life:
1. Natural Papaya Mat with Air Plants
Using a natural element like our dried Papaya Mats allows for a very unique and organic way of displaying succulents. This particular setup was incredibly easy to put together as the papaya has natural holes in which to place our realistic air plants! Hang on a wall or use as a centerpiece on a dining or coffee table for a fun and natural succulent display.
2. Floral Arrangement in a Boat
Perhaps our most popular type of floral arrangement, we typically carry various sizes and finishes of the “boat” shape in the showroom. From brass, nickel, bronze, gold, textured, hammered or even light and dark wood options, we definitely have a boat shaped vessel for any space! Another versatile option for these is just how full of a succulent display goes in them–they tend to look fantastic with several plant elements as well as with a repeated singular plant.
3. Floral Arrangement in a Bowl
For a different shape than a boat vessel, we love to suggest a beautiful bowl arrangement! These can be great when you have the need for a round object as opposed to something longer like the boat. A bowl is also a nice option when your space needs a vessel a bit taller and deeper than a long and low boat. Here again, several floral or succulent elements work or even one much larger plant like our ultra-realistic Agaves and Tillandsia.
4. Natural Star Pods with Succulents
Inspired by an idea we saw while playing around with succulent displays for a client, this option once again brings in a beautiful natural and dried element to pair with lively succulents and greens. Using the organic opening and pits of these Star Pods allows for the display of smaller succulent plants that almost appear to be growing right out of the pods themselves!
5. Wall Planters
Wall Planters are a very fun option either indoors or out and luckily we have a few suggestions for you in the Showroom! For a more Modern or Contemporary look, geometric metal wall planters are a great way to go. They remain sweet and simple while providing an easy wall decor option and way to bring in greenery. A more organic looking option would be stone, wood or concrete wall planters. These allow the succulent display to look even more naturally grown. A far larger and more substantial wall planter suggestion would be our Antique Water Bucket System succulent display.
6. Outdoor Pot with UV Coated Plants
A question we get pretty often is, ‘How well will your plants do outside?’ The answer being to show you our UV coated and protected plants! Most of these have a 5 year UV rating on them, making them the perfect addition to a pot on your patio table or outdoor drink tables.
7. Terrarium
Terrariums are always a fun way to create a succulent display! The great thing about terrariums is they come in all shapes, materials and sizes. In the CeTerra Showroom we have large globe terrariums, tall hurricane style terrariums as well as shorter options in geometric and cylinder shapes. The best part is, these can be filled with almost any of our ultra-realistic succulents for an easy and beautiful display.
8. Tea Light Candle Display
Traditionally used for actual tea lights or small votive candles, we also love using these for succulent displays! Fill the glass cups with sand, pebbles, crushed glass or any other unique base and then simply plant your succulents. A piece such as this adds a fresh and airy element to your space without becoming far too substantial in visual weight.
9. Hanging Wall Basket Succulent Display
Another super fun idea we saw while working with a client! Using a basket in order to display succulents in a very artful way. Many of our baskets are very versatile and can either be hung on the wall, used on an ottoman or coffee table or used as a floor basket to store blankets etc. This particular succulent display is so fun because you can quite literally frame your own plant design with the edges and design of the basket. This would absolutely work with a circular or square basket as well as varying sizes and depths!
10.Hanging Ladder with Concrete Mold Planter Boxes
Perhaps the most unique option on our list, this one is a combination of antique pieces that have been utilized as planter boxes. This idea though can be applied to many different elements. For this display we used a Vintage European Ladder and had leather straps made to hold and hang one of a kind antique concrete molds. Applying this idea elsewhere could result in more one of a kind succulent displays that will leave your guests in a constant state of awe!
