Description
Antique string instrument mounted on a metal display base. This instrument is likely the small string instrument known as a Rabab, Rubab or Robab depending on how many strings the instrument originally had. The instrument originated in Afghanistan centuries ago and has a very unique shape in that it curves inward in the sound hole area as well as it has tuning pegs at the head, in addition to down the neck of the instrument.
